Juwa’s Story

Volunteer's Testimony

Precious Sight Foundation is very valuable to me as I have the had the privilege to watch it grow. I was there at the launching and the first mission trip to South Africa as a 5year old and it has been going from peak to peak ever since then.

Precious Sight is very important to me as my mother lost her sight and was blind. She was left incompetent and could not do anything. She was lucky to have had loads of people take care of her on different days. This lasted about six months (roughly) and it was a very tough period for my mum. Being a toddler whilst this was happening I didn’t really understand what was going on all I saw was a lot of people who came round to our house to take care of my mum. Once she recovered from her blindness God shone a light and told her to start a Charity attending to people in Africa giving them free eye tests in villages. These experiences have been very eye opening for me. I began to understand that not everyone had it as easy as I did in life. The work is sometimes be very demanding but I know also the importance of giving to to and helping others.

With all my experiences with the Charity, I have seen lots of people who would do anything for a life like mine and for access to healthcare like mine.

I just want to say a big thank you to my mum who takes me along to the mission trips and everyone who has helped in any way to contribute to this cause, as your time, money, glasses or even eye patches an go far.

Finally, as we say at Precious Sight Foundation “Savings your sight we have made it our fight”
